Focus on actually conversing rather than just memorizing grammatical rules. To speak good English, you need to focus on conversing in English as much as possible.

2. Look out for people who speak English. Converse with them. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. Ask your friends or relatives or teachers, who know better English, to correct you, In this way you will learn correct English.

3. Think in English. Yes, if you want to speak English fluently, you need to think in English rather than thinking in your mother tongue. If you do that, it will slow down your speaking process and you won't be able to speak fluently if you constantly translate from your native language to English.

4. It is also good to hear how others are pronouncing words in English. You can listen to conversations on the internet, radios, TV, movies and from general people.

5. Access gold mine of English reading materials like online English learning sites, books, English learning kits, English distance learning programs, English learning blogs, forums etc.

6. Be confident in speaking English. Yes, speaking English confidently will improve your approach and your communication skills. So, don't only concentrate on the language itself, but also on your confidence, because if you aren't confident, you can't speak fluently.

So these were the secrets of speaking fluent English. There may be other ways to make your spoken English better but the only thing which will improve your English language is working hard and practising.

Thus in order to gain English fluency, you should be more patient in the process of learning the language. It takes hard work, discipline and the willingness to learn in order to speak English fluently. So practice constantly as much as you can & as per the old saying, “Practice makes a man perfect”, you will be a master of it.

Improve Your Concentration

How to improve your concentration when studying? A lot of students have problem with concentrating. This is very detrimental to studying. However there are very easy simple ways to improve one's concentration. Take a look at our list below.

1. Pick the right place. Try to study in an isolated, quite peaceful, distraction free place. You can create your own study place if you like. Use divisions in your room. You can even surround your study area with cloth to serve as enclosures where you see nothing but your walls and your notes/books.

2. Stick to the study schedule. Make a schedule and stick to it. Follow your schedule religiously.

3. Have a full stomach before studying (not too full otherwise you'd feel sleepy). Hunger can disrupt you from fully absorbing your lessons. So eat well. And do have a glass of water or two right beside you as you study.

4. Break large tasks to series of smaller tasks. Choose smaller tasks that you are sure you can complete according to your study schedule.

5. Have everything you need from pens, pencils, rulers, markers, notes, books right on your study table for easy reference.

Study When You Feel Like Studying

The brain is a very powerful organ of the body. You mustn't underestimate its power! When a person studies, the brain is forced to work. It is forced to process information, absorb information and digest them. Hence, one important tip for every student is to study when you feel like studying. Study when your brain feels the urge to get more information. Study when your brain craves for more! Study! Study! Study! Feed your brain! Why? It is at this instance that the brain is functioning smoothly, efficiently and you wouldn't want to move away from that path and stop the momentum. Of course remember to rest when you are tired. But unless tiredness has kicked in, keep that momentum going!

Your body will give you signs when it's time to stop and rest such as:

1. Lost focus/distraction.

2. Inability to comprehend/ memorize as quickly as the first 30 minutes of the study session.

So yes study when the urge study is still there!

Foods That Help Boost The Memory

Do you know that there are foods that can help boost your memory? There are times when one is confronted with multitudinous materials to memorize. Learning is indeed a taxing process. But this should not hinder any learner from acquiring knowledge and performing well in school. Besides, there are now known ways to improve one's memory. Here are some of these techniques:

1. Use acronyms. Combine letters to form words. Words may be real words or you can use made up words. Each of the letters represent something. So you only remember the Acronym which will trigger your brain to get the terms each letter represent.

2. Use acrostic. This is quite similar to acronyms only you form a sentence. The first letter of the word in a sentence represents an idea or concept. You can create any kind of sentence. It doesn't have to contain relevant ideas to the subject matter you are memorizing. What is important is it represents what you are trying to remember.

3. Use the locale method. When studying at home, place a bit of information on specific areas you routinely visit at home. Say you place the definition of "Arithmetic" on the refrigerator's door, or place a certain mathematical formula near your bed. So when you wake up or go to sleep this is the first and last thing you will see. This will help you memorize.

4. Carry notes with you. Not a whole notebook of course. Just a piece of paper where you place one important lesson that you want to memorize. You can place it in your wallet and read it once every 1 hour. You can do this passively, but you will be amazed with the results.

Useful Tips for College Students

Going to College can be very tough for many. It's role in alleviating poverty and improving people's lives cannot be undermined. Education must be made available to everyone as it is an inherent right as well as the moral obligation of the State to it's inhabitants, Ideally this should be the case. Educate all people. Send children to school regardless of their sex, color, race, religion or status in life. Education is a basic right.

Reality however shows otherwise. Education is not enjoyed by all. Poverty remains a major hindrance as the family would rather send their members to work than to school to earn a living for day to day survival! The State cannot also provide even for the basic education of many of it's citizens due to lack of public funds. Moreover some countries place Education at a much lower priority when it comes to approximating budgets.

While the value of Education is certainly of no question, reality bites. Education is still an elusive vision for many and a far fetch dream of the State to fully give to the whole of it's citizenry.

What is Education?

What is Education?

Education is a simple and at the same time complex concept. In the other pages of this site you will learn why education is simple and why it is also a complex concept at the same time. But before going deeper into the the concept of education, let us first try to define education. According to Wikipedia.Org,

Education in the largest sense is any act or experience that has a formative effect on the mind, character or physical ability of an individual. In its technical sense, education is the process by which society deliberately transmits its accumulated knowledge, skills and values from one generation to another.

Etymologically, the word education is derived from educare (Latin) which means "bring up", which is also related to educere "bring out", "bring forth what is within", "bring out potential" and ducere, "to lead".

Three Important Reading Styles

Part of the process of learning is reading. This style picks up only the main idea of a paragraph or chapter.

3. Scanning Reading Style. This style requires reading at an even faster speed. The purpose is to quickly locate a particular information in the reading material. One must move his eyes quickly, skipping irrelevant words, and searching only for a particular information as fast as possible.

Hence, before engaging in a reading session, every student or learner must identity the purpose to which he is reading and choose the appropriate reading style.

How To Round A Number Tips

Read carefully these information below.
